Mission Description                      

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial backup power generators. Your primary goal will be ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and safely maintaining our generator fleets and power systems

 

Profile

Key Responsibilities
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on various generator models to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and system calibrations.
• Repairs & Overhauls: Repair or replace faulty parts, engine controllers, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and alternators.
• Testing: Perform load bank testing to ensure generators function reliably during power outages.
• Record Keeping: Document all service activities, replacement parts, and labor hours to maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols when handling fuels, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.

Qualifications & Experience
• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel generators.
• Technical Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read wiring schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), paralleling switchgear, and engine control panels.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varied weather/environmental conditions.
