Job description

Mission Description                      

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Contract & Claims Engineer to join its team in Mozambique. This strategic position will play a key role in the management of commercial contracts, contractual risks, claims, and dispute prevention across our logistics, port, transportation, mining, and energy activities.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
✔ Manage contractual claims, change orders, variations and contractual notifications.
✔ Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial and operational risks.
✔ Support bid preparation, tenders and commercial negotiations.
✔ Review liability, indemnity and insurance provisions.
✔ Advise management and operational teams on contractual matters.
✔ Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.

 

Profile

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Law, Commercial Management, Business Administration or related field.
✔ Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, claims management or commercial management.
✔ Experience in logistics, ports, transportation, mining, energy, construction or infrastructure sectors.
✔ Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
✔ Fluent English (mandatory).
✔ Portuguese and/or French would be an advantage.
