Mission Description
The HR Manager will collaborate with the Managing Director, Regional HR Manager and Heads of Departments to provide strategic and operational support to deliver business and people centric HR solutions.
1.Initiating and facilitating the development and implementation of HR Policies
Initiating and Developing HR Systems and processes for approval
Monitoring the effective implementation of HR policies
2.Strategic Leadership & Culture
Develop and lead the overarching human capital strategy aligned with corporate goals.
Drive organizational culture, values alignment, and employee value proposition.
Champion change management, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and workforce transformation programs
Proactively “feels the pulse” of the organization and actively engages the leadership into action.
3.Coordinating the recruitment, selection, induction and placement of staff including.
Liaising with HOD's to identify vacancies
Liaising with the CFO to determine budgets for vacant positions.
Providing technical support in the selection process through interviews
4.Payroll Management
Ensuring that individual staff salaries and benefits are paid on time
Ensuring that individual staff pay structures are in conformity with their terms of service
Ensuring that statutory deductions and contributions are remitted in time
Interpreting terms and conditions of service relating to the payroll
5.Employee experience, people Operations & Compliance
Lead employee engagement, recognition programs, and HR service delivery models
Oversee performance management systems, goal alignment, and incentive frameworks
Promote a data-driven HR culture through dashboards and KPIs
Key contact for all Union related manners, including but not limited to Union/CBA negotiations.
Participation to key disciplinary and grievance processes
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices
Oversee employee engagement, termination, promotions, increase; leave administration processes with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure full compliance with Kenyan labor law, international standards, and internal policies
Technical support and lead in collective bargaining agreements, grievance resolution, and union engagement
Establish and enforce ethical and governance standards across HR practices
4Talent Management
High Potential management, executive coaching and leadership development
Lead workforce planning, strategic recruitment and internal mobility
Developing, managing, and monitoring coaching/training programs for key people
Support to create a culture that fosters performance excellence, personal investment, and commitment among teams
Building and proactively managing talent pipelines to fulfil resourcing and succession needs
5.Training, Learning & Capacity Building
Oversee L&D strategy including technical training leadership academies, and compliance learning
Profile
• MBA in HR Management
• Graduate in a relevant field (HR, Social Sciences, Psychology, Law)
• At least 8 years significant experience of senior broad-based HR partnering, working in international commercial, matrix, fast-paced and complex organisations, 3 of which must be at senior level.
• A strategic mind-set with a demonstrated ability to interpret business goals into robust people strategies
• A commercial focus with demonstrated ability to identify and deliver commercial outcomes
• Strong influencing, and problem-solving skills
• A willingness to work across all aspects of HR business partnering, and comfortable to work self sufficiently
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and able to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellence in building and managing effective relationships, including with senior leaders and
stakeholders. A proven ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex and fast-moving
information to senior stakeholders
• Excellent verbal communication, writing, researching and editing skills
• Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems easily
