Mission description

To ensure Treasury & Admin duties are carried out accurately and timeously in accordance with the department's objectives. Smooth running of the Treasury department.

Job Summary: Primary functions of the job
o Managing the Treasury Team, assisting to ensure smooth running of the department
o Dealing with various banks on all bank related queries, being payments made/deposits received
o Cashflow
o Bank Reconciliations
o Maintenance of Bank Proxies
o SARB Audit – Freight related
o Guarantees & Deferment applications

 

Profile

Job Function: Responsibilities
• Treasury
o Assist with smooth running of department
o General queries with all banks
o To ensure Internal transfer accounts are cleared
o To ensure Cashpooling & Cashpooling interest accounts cleared
o Weekly/Monthly Ban Recons
o Maintenance of all banks related matters - Bank Proxies
o Cashflow preparation
o Monitoring of interest rates
o Any reporting related to treasury requested by CFO

• SARB Audit
o SARB Audit: preparation data for audit / assist with any queries or outstanding issues / Submit Auditor's Report with renewal application to bank & follow up until approved

• Guarantees & Deferment Applications
o Applying for guarantees and new deferment applications
o Keeping all supporting documents with guarantees filed

• General
o Managing and assisting with distribution of bank balances/ updating bank schedules/ Xaalis
o Managing and assisting with HQ Report
o Managing of cashbook capturing & online banking capturing
o ADHOC duties


Minimum Requirements: Education and experience
• Matric
• Computer Literate
• Excel
• Accounting Knowledge

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to handle pressure
• Must be able to use own initiative
