Mission Description
Senior Construction Project Manager who will be the representative of the Project Owner in the context of a project to build a logistics platform of more than 40 000sqm and associated yard and facilities.
He/She will lead the different phases of the project by defending the interests of the project owner at each stage of the project:
- Overall project management: ensure the start of the work, its execution on time and on budget.
- Detailed design review.
- Monitoring of the authorisations necessary for the completion of the works and interaction with the various external (administrations, authorities, PMC) and internal stakeholders.
- Follow-up of tenders with the support of the PMC for the construction phase
- Works phase: project management, monitoring of the works, supervision of the PMC and coordination of the various stakeholders (contactors, project owner, authorities, etc.).
- Technical, administrative and financial management of the works contract(s), with the support of the PMC.
- Review of delivery phase and closing of punch list,
- Monitoring of commissioning phase
Profile
1. 15+ years of professional experience mainly in the management of large construction projects including civil and MEP works. This experience consists mainly of assignments in a construction company and/or in project management. Significant experience in Africa is an asset.
2. Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts management.
3. Ability to work on international tendering processes and technical-financial negotiations.
4. High adaptability in international projects and in a multicultural environment.
5. Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines;
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
7. Strong interpersonal skills, strong influencing abilities, ability to drive teams towards a common goal, results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner,
8. Able to work under tight timeline and pressure,
9. Strong proficiency with MS Office and Autocad is required.
