Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
Successfully co-ordinate all client shipments from start to end (Northbound).

 

Profile

Job Function:

• Candidates to be able co-ordinate shipments in accordance to the Estimate Handover / Clients Purchase Order as per the proposed INCO terms
• Updating and ensuring accurate information is captured on our in house TMS.
• To be able to keep clients well informed, ensuring the client's requirements, deadlines and procedures are always adhered to
• Assist in maintaining good service levels and good revenue margins as per the contracted rates. Write offs / errors are kept to a minimum
• Ensure all work is carried out in timely manner in accordance with the departmental and company procedure manual
• Daily Tracking Updates, keeping clients fully informed regarding their shipment status
• Communication with the respective AGL Offices at destination is a key function, providing regular shipment updates, following up on the final clearance at destination
• Information entered into the system to always be correct; candidates are required be meticulous in the data capture for statistic reporting
• Liaise with suppliers and expeditors to ensure timeous uplifting and delivery of cargo
• Payment to Service Providers must done at on receipt of invoices once the necessary checks are done
• Ensure that AGL South Africa portrays a professional and friendly image to all clients
• Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum 2 years' experience at road controller level in freight forwarding environment
• Knowledge of ERP/TMS systems will be an advantage
