Job description

 Job Title 

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - EMERGING BUSINESS M/F

Full time

Mission Description                      

1.Initiating and facilitating the development and implementation of HR Policies
-Initiating and Developing HR Systems and processes for approval
-Monitoring the effective implementation of HR policies.

2.Coordinating the recruitment, selection, induction and placement of staff including
-Liaising with HOD's to identify vacancies.
-Liaising with the CFO to determine budgets for vacant positions.
-Providing technical support in the selection process through interviews.
-Conducting placement and Monitor induction of all new staff their probation, confirmation, end of contracts to ensure timely confirmation or extension and contract renewals.
-Oversee the management, safety and timely update of staff files and records.

3.Payroll Management
-Ensuring that individual staff pay structures are in conformity with their terms of service.
-Managing the payroll inputs.

4.Providing HR technical support to the Line Managers in the management of the Human Resource
-Performance monitoring and evaluation.
-Submissions for confirmation or renewal of contracts or promotion.
-Handling disciplinary procedures.
-Providing technical support at the Staff Committees, Unions etc.
-Counselling and arbitration among staff.
-Prepare JD's in liaison with the HoD's and update departmental organograms as the changes occur.

5. Overseeing staff welfare
-Liaising with staff representatives to identify welfare concerns.
-Liaising with Line Managers to determine welfare issues that can be addressed.

6. Employee Relations
-To offer HR support and advice to managers and staff to ensure the enhancement of both employee engagement and performance levels.
-Provide guidance and support when dealing with poor performance.
-Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of HR issues
-Participation in all disciplinary and grievance processes.
-Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices that provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to support organizational needs.
-Oversee employee engagement, termination, promotions, leave administration processes with accuracy and efficiency

7.Oversee staff training and development
-Spearheading the Training Needs Assessment
-Draft Training budget and have it approved and ensure all planned training programs are implemented.
-Conduct training evaluations

8.Talent Management
-High Potential management and leadership development.
-Manage the Graduate Management Program.
-Developing, managing, and monitoring coaching/training programs
-Building and proactively managing talent pipelines.
-Planning and implementing annual learning calendar

9. Culture alignment
-participate in people and culture initiatives to drive employee engagement
10. Reporting and Compliance

 

Profile

• Master's degree in HR Management
• Higher Diploma in HR management/CHRP
• Knowledge of Kenyan Labour Laws.
• Member of IHRM
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a HR partner, working in international commercial, matrix, fast-paced and complex organisations
• strategic mind-set with a demonstrated ability to interpret business goals into robust people strategies.
• A commercial focus with demonstrated ability to identify and deliver commercial outcomes
• Strong influencing, and problem-solving skills
• A willingness to work across all aspects of HR business partnering, and comfortable to work self-sufficiently
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and able to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellence in building and managing effective relationships, including with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal communication, writing, researching and editing skills
