Mission description

We are seeking a skilled Generator Mechanic to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, and carrying out repairs on generators to ensure continuous functionality. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and testing generator components, performing emergency repairs, and preparing service reports. Our ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of generator systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Duties
•Responsible to do Generator and DC system Preventive maintenance.
•Manage and receive the Fuel in the sites and track it.
•Responsible for doing the major repair and overhauling for the DGs.
•Re-wire, adjust and install control panels and voltage regulators.

 

Profile

•Must be a Sierra Leonean
•A diploma in electro-mechanic engineering or related field. A Higher National Diploma will be an added advantage
•In-dept understanding of diesel engine and/or generator technology (Mantrac or Pramac – Perkins Generators)
•Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel, natural gas propane genset · Ability to multitasks, proficient with estimating time required to complete tasks
•In-depth understanding of Generator regulations, Mechanical instrument, materials, and industry
