Mission description
Job Purpose:
As the local representative of the Compliance Department at Headquarters, the Compliance Delegate that coordinates the Group Compliance Program (including the anti-bribery system, whistleblowing system, international sanctions, etc.) is known and respected within his or her scope.
Job Function:
Ensure that anti-corruption committees are properly organized and actively participate in them
Participate in risk management (assessment, prevention, detection, remediation)
Participate in the appropriation and updating of the local corruption risk map alongside the General Manager of his/her area.
Participate in the definition and ensure the correct implementation of local action plans.
Carry out market and regulatory monitoring within his/her perimeter and share with the General Manager and the Group Compliance Department.
Communicating and raising awareness
Communicate and raise awareness among all employees of the documents relating to the Compliance program within his or her scope and ensure that they are properly understood.
Inform and advise employees on the existence of the whistleblowing system (and the whistleblowing
procedure) and the conditions of use.
Advise employees on any questions they may have about the Group Compliance Program (including the anti-corruption system, whistleblowing system, international sanctions, etc.) or about professional situations they encounter.
Communicate with third parties (customers, suppliers, intermediaries, etc.) and inform them and/or raise their awareness of the Group Compliance Program (including the anti-bribery system, whistleblower system, international sanctions, etc.) with the assistance of the Group Compliance Department, if necessary.
Inform local management and the Group Compliance Department of any requests from local authorities for instructions.
Contact the Group Compliance Department, in case of doubt in the application of the Compliance program.
Training
Ensure training campaigns, in collaboration with Human Resources:
Face-to-face for employees who do not have an email address or a computer
Presential training for managers and for the categories of employees most exposed to the risk of corruption
Training courses for new employees (organization, general principles, Group compliance program)
Check with Human Resources to ensure that E-learning training is properly followed up.
Make the procedures of the Compliance program understandable to as many people as possible.
With A'Community access, organize reminders for late learners, if necessary.
Raise awareness and advise employees and third parties on the use of the alert system.
Profile
Evaluation of third parties
Remind and explain to third parties the due diligence procedures (clients, suppliers, intermediaries, etc.)
At the request of the Group Compliance Department, participate in the evaluation and referencing of third parties in application of the anti-corruption due diligence procedure.
Reporting and evaluation of the anti-corruption system
To regularly feed and consult the databases relating to the Group Compliance Program, as well as the Syfadis platform for training sessions.
Ensure the follow-up of the Group performance indicators and the reporting of the actions carried out (training sessions, etc.) to be transmitted to the Compliance Department within the give deadlines.
Report on his/her activities to the General Manager of his/her area and to the Group Compliance Department.
Assist the General Manager of his/her perimeter in the preparation of the compliance reporting.
Report to the Group Compliance Director any possible corruption or breach of the provisions of the Code of Conduct and the Compliance Program that comes to his/her attention.
Collaborate in audits and certifications
Participating as required in internal and external audits aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the anti-corruption system.
Collaborate with the Group Compliance Department in obtaining and renewing any accreditation (Including or in particular TRACE) required by a client or requested by the Group Compliance Department.
Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
E-learning training prior to taking up the position: All existing compliance training modules at the time of taking up the position
Face-to-face training prior to taking up the post: on-boarding by the N+1 Compliance
Local reporting line: General Manager of his/her perimeter
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification with Compliance Officer Certification and/or Risk Manager Certification.
Minimum 5 years Compliance Risk Management experience.
Legal experience in compliance within Africa will be an advantage.
