Mission Description
Ensure effective day-to-day operations by overseeing team performance, maintaining workflow efficiency, enforcing safety and compliance standards, and supporting the achievement of operational goals.
Profile
Area Operations Management
•Oversee material handling, put-away, picking, and dispatch within the assigned warehouse area.
•Ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of shift tasks.
Team Supervision & Coordination
•Assign tasks to operators, loaders, and support staff.
•Monitor attendance, discipline, and staff performance.
•Provide coaching and corrective feedback to maintain high standards of conduct and productivity.
Compliance & Inventory Control
•Ensure accuracy of stock transactions and records.
•Monitor inventory levels and report variances, damages, or discrepancies.
•Maintain proper documentation in line with company policies.
Stock Movement:
• Manage and coordinate daily cycle counts to achieve 100% inventory accuracy Maintain an up-to-date daily stock movement report.
• Coordinate daily stock reconciliation and variance resolution within 24 hours of discovery.
• Account for all daily physical stock movements.
• Real time updating of bin cards in the warehouses.
• Accurate and documented bin to bin transfers.
• Participate fully in end month physical stock take.
• Ensure FEFO/FIFO is followed within the warehouses.
Safety & Security
•Enforce PPE use and safe working practices.
•Identify and address safety hazards, escalating incidents as required.
•Monitor site security within the assigned area and ensure compliance with controls.
SOP & Process Adherence
•Uphold adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
•Conduct on-the-job training and corrective actions when deviations occur.
Resource & Supply Support
•track PPE and consumable usage in the area.
•Raise requisitions and follow up on shortages with the Shift Manager.
Performance & KPI Support
•Track daily output and efficiency in the area.
•Submit reports to the Shift Manager for consolidation against shift KPIs.
