Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
To provide front line support for customers and to ensure that customers are satisfied with products, services, and features.
To be accountable for maintaining excellent service for our internal and external customers.

 

Profile

Job Function:
• Sea Logistics Operational/ Product Related
• Daily communication with Customer Logistics departments
• Daily communication with Shipping lines regarding stack dates to ensure containers are placed timeously at cold stores and pack houses of customers
• Daily communication with Transporters / Cold Stores / Pack houses/ PPECB to ensure containers are placed on time, leave on time and make stack on time.
• Booking containers with shipping lines timeously, Booking PPECB timeously, without these containers cannot load if PPECB is not at packing
• Ensuring min to no mistakes are made on placing and loading containers to avoid negative impact on FSL
• Ensure containers are booked to correct POD, VESSELS, TEMP, COUNTRIES, any mistake can have massive impact on product, FSL and customer.
• Correct information handed over to Documentation Department, Correct information to be updated in SALOG
• Arrange PPECB, DAFF inspection whenever necessary for countries that require the daff inspections.


• Compliance / standards related
• Deliver minimum standards for every booked shipment
• Ensure credit notes kept to the minimum
• Accurate and correct data sent to clients
• Correct data and accuracy avoid non-payment and unnecessary write offs
• Ensure correct rates are used and invoiced any discrepancies avoided

• Development / Innovation
• Within own sphere identify and escalate to FS-P incorrect information before sending to customers

• Communication
• Support Management through the communication of current issues and continuous improvement of customer standard.
• Communicate any issues from Customer side to Management and Staff to ensure future non-payment is avoided

• Support
• Support Sea Logistics operations teams in industry related questions / requirements (point of escalation)
• Support on any customer related issues and queries on rates

• Training / Qualification
• Ensuring ongoing compliance
• Perishable knowledge
• Up to date for rates of each client and rate changes.

• Good relationships with all stakeholders int he industry - PPECB, DAFF, COLD STORES, Shipping Lines, Port, Transporters, and Clients

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
