Mission Description
The Railway Specialist is responsible for overseeing railway infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing railway operations, and implementing best practices in railway engineering, logistics, and maintenance. The role involves technical expertise, project coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Job Function:
Railway Infrastructure & Operations
• Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of railway tracks, signaling systems, and rolling stock.
• Monitor railway operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with international and national railway regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and government agencies for railway project execution.
Project Management & Coordination
• Plan and execute railway-related projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including government bodies, transport authorities, and private sector partners.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
• Optimize railway logistics and freight operations to enhance efficiency.
• Develop strategies for cost-effective transportation and cargo handling via rail.
• Analyse data to improve scheduling, routing, and overall railway network performance.
Maintenance & Upgrades
• Develop and oversee maintenance schedules for railway infrastructure and rolling stock.
• Implement upgrades to improve railway system performance and longevity.
• Ensure availability of spare parts, maintenance tools, and skilled personnel.

Profile
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Railway Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in railway operations, infrastructure development, or maintenance.
• Knowledge of railway safety regulations, track design, and rolling stock maintenance.
• Experience in project management and logistics related to railway operations.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in railway systems and operations
