Job Purpose:Assist with general accounting and related tasks.Job Function: • Processing of supplier overhead expense invoices using the Acounting system.• Processing / matching of supplier invoices using the Operational system – Group companies to be done in JHB.• Pushing operations staff for timely validation of supplier invoices.• Prepare supplier reconciliations.• Assist with facilitation of opening supplier accounts.• Assist with handling of petty cash.• Prepare EFT requisitions – file related invoices and overhead expense invoices.• Ordering of offices supplies (office supplies/tea/coffee/milk/stationery/cleaning materials etc.)• Purchase order issuing for overhead expenses• Allocate ledger accounts in SUN, balance sheet and suppliers.• Filing as per office policy / according to VAT report for ease of reference when doing VAT audits.• Assist with preparing documentation for VAT audits with Ministry of Finance (MoF).• Communicate all queries to management timeously and in writing.• Follow up on all open supplier invoices not yet cleared in the Operational system.• Ad Hoc duties as assigned by Finance Coordinator.Month end:• Prepare provisions and prepaid expense journals for upload.• Clearing of Folios
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and Accounting.• Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel / Word / In house programs).• Financial knowledge / experience will be an added advantage• Team player.• Self-starter.• Ability to operate independently without constant supervision.• Effective decision-making skills• Precise and dedicated • Ability to work in a pressurised environment.• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
