Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient, timely, high- quality service delivery.

Job Function:


• Draft, implement and control the process or procedures within allocated area of responsibility.
• Assess in the team: skills, need for training, opportunity and propose to promote relevant people to management.
• Manage the team: share information with management and the team. Control quality of the work of the team, including time management, productivity. Share required knowledge to have the work done.
• On boarding and training of newcomers in the team, trains the team on internal tools: TMS, Carlo,
• Contribute to analysis of complex quote request and contribute to solution and pricing.
• Ensure process, regulation and AGL rules (security, QHSE, HR, Finance, legal, quality, compliance.) are shared, understood and respected.
• Responsible for the global data quality of the team (timeous and accurate invoice, completeness and freshness of data).
• Organize the workload in a fair way within the team particularly during leave, sick leave
• Work closely with Customer sales support or Customer operation support to plan workload of controllers based on priority and skills.
• Organize and prioritize the tasks to optimize the efficiency of the team.
• Monitor and forecast performance of the team in terms of Gross Margin, Turn Over, Invoice Performance.
• Handle disbursement discrepancies in the team with guidance of management.
• Control flow of information – documentation between the team, suppliers, customers and internal services.
• Provide all supporting docs and assessment in case of litigation to management, finance or legal.
• Weekly meetings with clients on Statement of Accounts.
• Organize regular meetings with the team to assess their performance and workload, report to management with findings (GM forecast, status of file, cargo status, data quality, KPI)
• Improve yield of the file through process improvement or renegotiation.
• Ensure that clients are serviced and communicated in such a manner that more business in other areas (modes of transport) and other routes is considered by clients
• Any other task requested by direct manager be completed

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric
• 5 years' experience in freight forwarding and clearing with 2 years' Supervisor experience
• Multimodal experience required (Air, Sea, Road).
• Experience in complex multimodal estimates.
• Experience in meeting organization and reporting with customers.
• Experience in EDI tracking and PO management would be an advantage.
