The MIS/IT Department (ASCENS) supports AGL's 250 subsidiaries from hubs in Paris, Abidjan, Johannesburg, and Kigali, ensuring the effective use, management, and continuous evolution of the Group's digital tools.

As part of our innovation drive, ASCENS launched its first Innovation Center - YIRI in Abidjan, a collaborative space dedicated to digital transformation and partnerships with internal teams, technology providers, universities and start-ups. Building on this success, a second Innovation Center will soon open in Kigali, aiming to become a hub for open innovation in East Africa, stimulating creativity, accelerating projects and strengthening regional synergies.

Established in 2025, the Kigali Shared Service Center (KSSC), which includes ASCENS as its dedicated MIS/IT department, is entering a strategic growth phase. To support this expansion and deliver high-value digital services across the AGL network, we are recruiting talented professionals to join our dynamic team. KSSC plays a key role in MIS activities through standardized service delivery, operational excellence, and strong cross-site collaboration.

Profile

JOB FUNCTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The FinOps Azure Expert is responsible for ensuring compliance with FinOps governance within AGL:

Cost control

Optimization of consumption and resource governance

They work closely with Architecture, Internal Solutions, Finance, Operations, and Security teams to align business, technical, and budgetary objectives.

Functions :

Analyze cloud consumption and identify possible optimizations

Define, challenge, and enforce FinOps governance; establish standards and controls

Prioritize an application scope and build an action plan (Quick Wins and long-term projects)

Industrialize cost visibility and produce dashboards (e.g., Power BI)

Support the solutions and finance teams in cost control

Define and monitor FinOps KPIs

Lead governance and prepare committees

Educate and train teams on FinOps best practices; support change management

Collaborate closely with Finance, application owners, and management to ensure strategic and operational alignment

Implement a continuous improvement roadmap and business case (TCO)

Maintain the Power BI feed, which is currently manual

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED :

Experienced IT professional with solid expertise in Microsoft Azure acquired in IT departments within Architecture, Operations, or Project teams, and with expertise in Cloud FinOps practices.

Capable of reconciling technical requirements, performance, security, and cost control, and quickly gaining skills on the subjects.

Proven experience in Azure Cloud architecture and Microsoft 365 services

Knowledge of Microsoft M365 licensing would be a plus

Mastery of FinOps practices: cost allocation, budgets and alerts, tagging, KPIs, consumption optimization

Analytical skills, rigor, service orientation, effective communication, writing skills, pedagogy

Data skills: modeling, data quality, SQL queries or PowerShell scripting, Power BI

Preparation of meetings with experts

Ability to challenge requests (critical thinking, being proactive and advisory)

Recommended certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Admin Certification (AZ-104)
