Africa Global Logistics Uganda (AGLU) is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the implementation of our Group Compliance Programme and uphold our strong ethical standards across operations. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about regulatory and internal compliance, we invite you to be part of our mission to drive responsible and transparent business practices.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Local Anti-Corruption Committee by organizing meetings, tracking compliance documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
Lead training and awareness initiatives on anti-corruption, Code of Conduct, and third-party due diligence.
Maintain compliance registers (gifts, conflicts of interest, sponsorships) and ensure reporting KPIs are met.
Assist in risk mapping and due diligence for third-party suppliers and customers.
Prepare and organize documentation for audits and support corrective action plans.
Conduct international sanctions checks and escalate critical red flags where needed.
Profile
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Postgraduate training in Compliance, Risk Management, or Ethics is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in compliance, audit, or risk-related roles.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of anti-corruption laws, compliance frameworks, and risk management processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Experience with learning management systems (e.g. Syfadis, Academy) is desirable.
