Job description

Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
Assistant performing general work relating to the ancillary services for container processing; wash-bay; fitting Uniqliners in containers, sweeping and cleaning containers and general housekeeping.

Job Function:
• Cleaning, sweeping and washing of containers
• Recording of containers washed and cleaned, and handing same to the Depot clerk on a daily basis
• Remove old colour coded strips and IMO stickers from the containers
• Cleaning of Company vehicles
• Assistant to the container yard operations
• Ad-hoc duties may be requested (perform any other duties as instructed by Manager/Supervisor or Depot clerk

 

Profile

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Previous experience in general labour, warehousing, logistics or container cleaning is preferred.
• Ability to function within a team.
• Ability to function effectively under pressure.
• Ability to perform manual labour, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
• Must be a Namibian citizen
