Mission Description
Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Commercial manager-Kenya,the overall purpose of the role is to grow AGL market share and Gross Margin objectives with specific tasks as:-
1.Consolidate knowledge on customers
1.1 Act as AGL main entry point
1.2 Secure approved/preferred vendor status from Key account.
1.3 Consolidate and update customer knowledge (decision makers, influencers, volume potential, incumbents, industry challenges/opportunities, strategic expectation) and AGL performance.
2.Set Goals;
2.1 Develop AGL market share and profitability through customers operations across the network
2.2 Develop and implement the sales action plan by monitoring the dedicated sales team
2.3 Review AGL performance and quality indicators which have been contracted with customers
3.Build action plan
3.1 Plan and monitor growth with the dedicated network sales team aligned with customers flows.
3.2 Optimize sales awareness and development within network through CRM
3.3 Lead direct actions with identified customers interlocutors
3.4 Define operational and pricing procedures and exercise authority over agencies to have them applied
3.5 Plan monthly meetings to pilot growth and sales activities
4.Lead global tender
4.1 Lead global tenders and participate to sign-off with respective parties in operations
4.2 Design and present global tenders to customers with supporting AGL functions and expertise.
4.3 Call on corporate steering committee to arbitrate financial, sales or operational disputes linked to international contract management.
4.4 1.Develop business that does not exist today in the AGL portfolio.
Profile
1. Business Degree
2. Diploma in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
3. MSK/CIM membership
4. Knowledge of the freight industry
5. Five years experience in logistics or FMCG industry
