Mission Description
1.) Strategic & Operational Leadership.
• Develop and implement workshop operational strategy aligned to company objectives.
• Lead planning and scheduling of all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and fabrication works.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity optimization, and turnaround time improvements.
• Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for workshop operations.
2. Financial & Commercial Oversight.
• Control costs relating to labour, spares, consumables, and external contractors.
• Approve procurement requests for tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Monitor asset utilization and lifecycle management.
3.Technical Governance.
• Ensure adherence to technical standards, manufacturer guidelines, and best practice maintenance frameworks.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Approve technical solutions for complex repairs and breakdowns.
• Ensure quality control processes are implemented and documented.
4.People Management & Capability Development.
• Lead, coach, and supervise workshop supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Conduct performance management, succession planning, and skills development initiatives.
• Enforce discipline, productivity standards, and accountability structures.
• Identify training needs and ensure technical upskilling of the team.
5.Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture within the workshop.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure statutory compliance and proper documentation.
6.Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Liaise with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Fleet teams to ensure seamless workflow.
• Provide technical reports to senior management.
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.
Profile
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6–9 years workshop experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of fleet/equipment maintenance systems
