Mission description

Lead a team of warehouse personnel to ensure the provision of professional incoming goods, storage, and dispatch service to customers. Ensure all warehouse rules and procedures are adhered to.

 

Profile

• Have daily meetings with your warehouse teams.
• Ensure warehouse staff adheres to rules and procedures as published and instructed by manager.
• Plan and co-ordinate the activities with all participants, i.e. Incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner, loads correctly loaded and secure. (Depending on your area of responsibility)
• Ensure the stacking and storage procedures are adhering to as per document management system.
• Maintain the company's Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse and yard. Control the application of the general instructions and train your team.
• Must adhere to any instructions given by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
• Monitor a physical cycle count on a weekly, monthly basis and a wall-to-wall physical stock take on a quarterly basis.
• Take charge of relevant receiving, picking, packing and dispatch Teams.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed operationally and on the system at the close of business.
• Ensure that all inbound/outbound documents are properly signed, AGL stamped and dated with time (packing lists, pre-alerts, streamline check list) and classified in folder.
• Notify the admin/client by email if expected qty is different from actual qty received, same applies in case of damages with pictures attached.
• Ensure all Full Wms Sop Adhered to at all times.
• Make sure all trucks checked against the AGL tracking report before offloading
• Report all incidents, incident report must be completed on the same shift and submitted.
• Validate all documents for the shift and sign it off.
• Ensure dispatch SOP is followed .
• Must be on shift 15mins before start time to prep for your staff briefing/plan for the shift.
• Conduct toolbox talks.
• Sign off daily forklift scanner and Equipment registers.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12
• 5 years' experience in warehouse operations
• Computer Literate in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must have at least 3 years' experience on WMS System
• Must be able to work shifts
