Mission Description                      

The Treasury Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day treasury operations, ensuring effective cash management, accurate reporting, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The role requires close coordination with the finance team, bank, and internal departments to manage liquidity and support strategic financial planning.

 

Profile

Job function:
Supervise and manage treasury operations including daily cash flow management, banking transactions, and liquidity planning.
Monitor and manage bank balances and transfers across group and local accounts.
Prepare accurate and timely treasury reports including cash flow forecasts, bank reconciliations, and treasury dashboards.
Ensure compliance with local banking regulations and internal policies.
Liaise with banks on account management, foreign exchange and internal policies.
Oversee and verify payment runs, ensuring appropriate approvals and supporting documentation are in place.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes from a treasury perspective.
Assist in the preparation of treasury-related audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
Identify and implement process improvements in treasury operations.
Supervise and mentor junior finance or treasury staff where applicable.
Assist with budget preparations from a treasury point of view.
Daily and monthly exchange rate updates.
Arranging new guarantees, cancellations and amendments.
Credit applications.
Liaise with tax authorities and or auditors on any issues.
Opening and closing of bank accounts.
Communication of all queries to bank/amendment to signatories.
Monthly review and signing of bank reconciliations.
Any adhoc duties as and required by line manager.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years in a treasury or financial operations role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of Namibian tax regulations, financial laws and accounting practices.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and excel.
Experience in financial reporting and forecasting, budgeting, and managing internal controls.
Strong knowledge of banking systems and cash management principles.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
