About Timor Port SA.
Timor Port, the country's first public-private partnership, will cost a total of $490 million over a 30-year period. The new port is located in Tibar Bay, 12 km from the capital Dili. It is equipped with some of the most modern handling equipment and operating software to enable the operation of container ships of more than 7,500 TEUs, achieving a level of productivity and performance worthy of the world's largest ports.

Mission Description
About The Position
Timor Port S.A, a subsidiary of the AGL Group, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Ship Supervisor. The Ship Supervisor is responsible for managing all operational teams during vessel operations. This role coordinates closely with the Operations Manager, Planning Team, and Workshop to ensure equipment and staffing availability. The Ship Supervisor serves as the main point of contact during the shift, oversees proper handovers between shifts, and works in sync with the Planning Manager and Control Room to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
• Coordination of Operations Teams on the Ground:
o Organizes and supervises ground personnel, ensuring all tasks and procedures are understood and executed in compliance with QHSE standards.
o Ensures work is performed efficiently and operational productivity targets are met.
o Maintains effective coordination between shipside and yard teams to support smooth workflow.
o Communicates the vessel operations plan and strategy clearly to the entire team.
o Responds to operational alerts and selects the most appropriate actions to maintain operational continuity.
o Ensures proper handovers between staff at shift changes.
• Following QHSE Protocols
o Ensure all operations are carried out safely and in full compliance with QHSE standards.
o Participate in QHSE toolbox talks, audits, and inspections as required.
• Staff Management
o Effectively manages and guides the team during vessel operations.
Profile
Eligibility Criteria:
High school graduate; diploma or degree in logistics, port management, or related field is an advantage
Minimum 3 years' experience in port, terminal, or logistics operations, with prior experience supervising teams or shifts.
Strong understanding of vessel operations, yard planning, container handling, and terminal equipment capabilities.
Solid knowledge of QHSE standards with the ability to enforce safety procedures.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills under pressure.
High integrity, accountability, and willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Good English skills and basic computer knowledge.
