Mission Description                      

Road Freight Controller - POD Coordinator will manage and verify delivery documentation to maintain accuracy and accountability in our supply chain. You will work closely with drivers, dispatch teams, and clients to resolve any delivery issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Report to: Deputy Fleet Operations Manager


Key Responsibilities

1. Verify Delivery Documents: Ensure all delivery records are accurate, complete, and properly documented for each shipment.

2. Data Management: Enter and maintain up-to-date POD information in the logistics database, ensuring records are accessible for internal audits and client requests.

3. Driver and Dispatch Liaison: Communicate with drivers and dispatch to resolve delivery discrepancies, missing documentation, or client inquiries.

4. Customer Service: Address client questions related to delivery status, tracking, and provide necessary documentation upon request.

5. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and distribute daily/weekly POD reports for internal tracking and continuous improvement.


6. Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve POD accuracy and response times.

Skills Required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with logistics or ERP software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills for interacting with team members, drivers, and clients.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally. 
Must be able to work independently as well in a team and be self-assured.

Required Qualifications

Full Grade 12 certificate
Diploma in Transport & Logistics, Business Administration or related field
Membership at Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (ZCILT)
Previous experience in a similar role
