Mission Description
1. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES DETAILS
• Overseeing the daily operations and improving operating procedures for optimal efficiency
• Assessing and enhancing the efficiency of internal and external operational processes
• Leading and motivating staff to achieve organizational objectives
• Mentoring and inspiring employees to key into the vision of management
• Establishing policies that improve and promote company vision and culture
• Evaluating company performance and recommending strategies to improve results
• To ensure smooth management of the operations department
• Dedication to customer satisfaction and total quality management
• Responsible for Air Freight, Sea Freight and Transport operations
• Tight operational control to ensure maximum efficiency and profit on shipments
• Ensure any client requests or disputes are reviewed and actioned promptly
• Ensure that supplier invoices are approved, processed and sent to accounts
• Ensure all overseas invoices are approved, processed and sent to accounts.
• Ensure that all netting queries are addressed and answered.
• Assist in addressing requests and avoiding the use of second requests or escalation of requests by overseas offices
• To encourage a team environment and develop a positive culture within the operations dept.
• Ensure procedures issued by management are communicated and implemented to all operational staff
when undertaking daily duties
• Ensure staff performance is monitored regularly, and performance issues are raised immediately and in the correct format.
• Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by the line manager.
2. Essential Requirement:
• Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Freight Forwarding
• Knowledge of the local transport industry environment
• Demonstrate leadership and people skills
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with staff of various levels
• Ability to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
• Understanding of accounting procedures
• Ability to competently step into various roles as required.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Computer skills
• Good time management and organizational skills ability to adhere to deadlines
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus with 8 years of related experience
