Mission description

Job Purpose:
Secure new mining accounts, drive growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand our footprint in the mining sector.

 

Profile

Job Function:

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector
(both surface and underground).
• Ensure physical visits, online meetings, phone calls with mining prospects on
a weekly basis to sell AGL full range of logistics services
• Update all commercial activities in Comone (CRM) timeously and completely
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including
mining companies, contractors, suppliers, and government entities.
• Develop strategic plans to grow market share in target regions and segments.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and
potential clients.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
• Lead the proposal and tendering process, including pricing strategy, contract
negotiation, and closing deals.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to
promote brand awareness and develop leads.
• Provide regular forecasts, reports, and updates to management
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to mining
operations and contracts.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in business development or sales within
the mining or heavy industries.
• Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and procurement
processes.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth in mining
or industrial markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to remote mining sites and attend industry events.
