FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS
INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATOR-BREAK BULK M/F

Working Hours
Mission Description
The overall purpose of the role is to ensure efficient collection and distribution of airfreight shipping documents with responsibility for:-
1.File Processing
1.1 Arrange for collection of shipping documents from the handling centers. Ensure all the required documents are maintained on file and follow up with the handling centers for missing documents and escalate within 1 day.
1.2 Inform Handover clients of the arrival of their shipments.
1.3 Send copies of clearance documents to Client Operation Managers for shipments that AGL is handling.
1.4 Open operational files for billing purposes.
1.5 Confirm payment of Break Bulk Fees and Freight Collect charges.
1.6 Handover documents to Clients.
1.7 File documents in the system ( E Doc)
2. Customs Declaration
2.1 Deconsolidation of manifests in ICMS
2.2 Advise Clients the manifest numbers.
3. Reports
3.1 Maintain a daily report of all shipments that have arrived.
3.2 Daily update to the Cashier of payments done.
3.3 Proactively report any issues faced with the system within 1 hour) to the system administrators
Profile
1. Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or equivalent
2. Experience handling Airfreight Import shipments
3. Working knowledge of ICMS
