Mission Description                      

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic and growing organization. As an HRBP, you will be responsible for aligning HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives to support the overall success of the company. You will serve as a strategic partner to management and employees, providing guidance and support in all areas of human resources

Reporting to: Human Resource Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Partnership
o Serve as a trusted advisor to management, providing insights and support on HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
o Collaborate with leadership to design and implement HR initiatives that align with the company's objectives.
2. Performance & Employee Relations
o Guide managers on performance management processes, employee relations, and career development.
o Conduct thorough investigations and provide guidance on complex employee relations matters.
3. Payroll Management
o Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
4. Employee Support
o Advise employees on HR policies, benefits, and performance-related concerns.
o Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances, working closely with line managers to resolve issues effectively.
5. Change Management
o Develop and execute change enablement plans, including effective communication with employees, managers, and trade union representatives during transitions.
6. HR Administration
o Maintain an up-to-date weekly tracker of outstanding issues across departments and follow through to ensure timely resolution.
o Manage and maintain a grievance case tracker for the department, ensuring adherence to disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes.
7. Recruitment and Development
o Participate in promotion assessments and recruitment interviews.
o Support the performance review process by providing training and coaching to employees and line managers in collaboration with the training department.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Comprehensive understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage and advise on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and project management, with a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate (or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as an HRBP or in a similar role.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource - -Management (ZIHRM).
