Mission description
IT Infrastructure Engineer - within the discipline of IT service management (ITSM) as defined by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) - main functions are supporting the IT infrastructure in the BUILD and/or RUN at an engineering level called “IT Infrastructure Engineer”.
• Contribute to designing and planning the transition in hardware and software infrastructure (if part of the BUILD domain)
• Service Desk (if part of RUN domain): IT support for users
• Continuity of service (if part of the RUN domain) for Operations (hardware and software infrastructure) on the day-to-day:
Network / Telecommunications: Cabling, Switches, Optimizers, Routers, Firewall, Proxies, Gateways, WAN, Wi-Fi, Video-Conferencing systems and others equipment UPS, Aircon, Genset, IoT…
Systems: Servers (Windows/Linux or iSeries), storage, Data backup means, Local Applications, …
End users: PCs, Thin Client, Smartphones/Tablets, Printers, Satellite phones, Scanner guns, Headset…
They are a member of the BUILD and/or RUN or both teams of the AGL MIS department.
The Geographical scope of work should be aligned with the Reporting lines.
• ITIL MIS support process: Be the primary escalation point for ITSM ticketing, troubleshooting complex technical issues, logs analyze. reporting, monitoring for users in the scope of work.
• Ensure IT Hardware resources and capacity planning (see inventory and capacity planning in deliverables here after)
• Contribute to IT Infrastructure projects/major change in the state of the art: express of needs from users, planning of implementation (priorities), specifications book, tender, supplier choice, user acceptance test
• Must be the custodian of the group norms and policies respect: Use only Business applications/MIS services compliant with AGL IT catalogue
• Apply MSC AGL security and licensing policies
• Manage IT Infrastructure related contracts and SLA: Review supplier's contracts making sure they are in accordance with AGL requirements, meeting our expectations. Apply penalties for non-compliancy.
• Maintain and update documentation of procedures and configurations
• Ensure IT Infrastructure management is compliant with ISO processes, ITIL processes and QHSE processes.

Deliverables:
IT Hardware resources management and capacity planning:
• Hardware inventory (including IT contracts). Frequency = DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY
• Capacity planning (including hardware and workforce requirements). Frequency = QUATERLY
Infrastructure management:
• Projects UAT (User Acceptance Test). Frequency = ONE UAT PER PROJECT
• Contribute to Infrastructure Action plan update. Frequency = MONTHLY
• Weekly meeting with Reporting line Manager. Frequency = WEEKLY

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• ITIL foundations certified.
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory environment is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge in server hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), storage and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency with networking (e.g., LAN, SD-WAN, VLANs, switches, firewalls, and routing protocols).
• Knowledge in network/telecom (Aruba and/or Cisco certifications appreciated).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform is an added advantage.
