Mission description

Safely co-ordinate vessel discharge and the loading of trucks as per load plan and legal road framework

 

Profile

• Loading of trucks.
• Adhering to load plans given and ensuring that vehicles are maximized.
• Ensuring trucks are not overloaded by overall weight or by axle mass.
• Be present for every vehicle that loads out our facility.
• Check and acknowledge that the number of pieces loaded is correct.
• Ensuring the loaded vehicles are safely secured prior to dispatch and to
ensure the following:
o Correct and sufficient dunnage is utilized.
o Dunnage placed correctly to ensure load stability.
o The loads are strapped and lashed correctly, signed off by the driver and
yourself.
• Ensuring all shipments is handled correctly and timeously.
• Tracking trucks in the port and updating the internal client on every step of
the process.
• All work to be completed in a timeous manner before leaving.
• You will be required to work after hours from time to time.
• Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting
manager.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12
