Mission
The Real Estate & Construction Department is recruiting a Project Manager to supervise and manage works related to the Freetown Terminal in Sierra Leone. This position involves a role as Project Owner and the management of several strategic construction and renovation projects.
Job Location : Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Short-term projects:
• Construction of a 1500 m² warehouse.
• Construction of a 350 m² administrative building.
• Refurbishment of a quay.
• Construction of a 10,000 m² truck parking area.
• Renovation of a paving area.
• Relocation of a scanning area.
Medium-term projects:
• Expansion of the Port.
Responsibilities:
• Leading tenders: drafting specifications, analyzing proposals, and selecting contractors.
• Managing the Project Management (PM): reviewing plans and technical studies.
• Managing Contractors: site visits, QHSE control, and contract compliance.
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines and costs (€5M to €20M depending on the project).
• Reporting to the Port Management and Headquarters.
• Recruiting and managing a local team (training, skill development, daily monitoring).
• Assisting the Terminal Director in relations with Local Authorities, especially during the monitoring committee meetings for ongoing works.
You will report hierarchically to the Terminal Director and transversally to the Deputy Director of Group Construction & Real Estate.
Profil
• You are a graduate of an engineering school in Civil Engineering.
• Significant experience as a Project Owner, Project Manager, or within a company on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong skills in contract management (ideally FIDIC), budget management, and planning.
• Professional and operational level of English (B2-C1 minimum).
• Proficiency in office tools: Excel, Word, MS Project, AutoCAD.
• Leadership, Team Spirit, Ability to work under pressure, Clear and effective communication.
• Recognized for your organizational skills.
