Profile

JOB FUNCTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Trainer is responsible for delivering professional training programs in logistics-related fields, ensuring knowledge transfer, skills development, and alignment with operational standards.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Deliver training sessions related to logistics professions
2. Adapt and update training materials
3. Report on training activities delivered

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Academy Activity Coordination):
1. Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions on:
o Air and sea freight forwarding
o Logistics software (TMS, internal tools) and associated processes
o Customs fundamentals
2. Adapt training materials to the local context
3. Analyze training needs
4. Train and coach other trainers (“train-the-trainer” approach)
5. Report on training activities and outcomes

Communication & Academy Development:
• In collaboration with the Academy Management, define and implement a communication plan to strengthen the Academy's visibility and reputation
• Represent the training organization with external partners (public and private stakeholders)
• Ensure effective internal communication within the team
• Initiate or contribute to the development of new training programs and support their deployment

Required Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations within freight forwarding, transport management, logistics, or warehousing environments
• Experience in training or instructional delivery is an advantage

Technical Skills & Knowledge (Hard Skills):
• Strong understanding of AGL organization, agencies, and logistics professions
• Knowledge of freight forwarding, Incoterms, AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), etc.
• Proficiency in TMS and related logistics systems and processes
• Solid understanding of customs fundamentals
• Experience in operational claims management and insurance
• Knowledge of supply chain is a plus
• Professional proficiency in English and French
• Basic knowledge of project management
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Conditions:
• Travel to different agency locations may be required
