Mission Description
• Assist the Operations Director with the technical management of AGL Angola equipment and vehicles.
• Define the maintenance policy for cargo-handling equipment and associated tooling, including lifting and wheeled equipment.
• Develop proposed organisation charts and budgets that will enable the defined objectives to be achieved.
• Set objectives for each workshop employee.
• Identify and manage all maintenance requirements and ensure that they are known, understood and properly implemented. Raise awareness at all levels of the importance of continuous compliance;
• Organise, lead and control the activities of the departments and assigned personnel, ensuring that duties, tasks, work procedures and HSE requirements are formalised, communicated and applied;
• Supervise all maintenance, routine servicing and preventive maintenance operations for equipment, vehicles and associated tools, as well as the company's technical activities, with a focus on profitability.
• Determine, implement and manage the allocated human and material resources;
• Design and implement the indicators and dashboards required to analyse the activities and results of the Technical Department, monitor them continuously and define improvement objectives for submission to management;
• Manage technical operations and expenditure, seeking to optimise productivity, quality, lead times, costs, security and the operational safety of equipment;
• Implement and manage a monitoring system capable of identifying malfunctions, determining their causes and defining the improvement actions required to prevent recurrence and/or improve the efficiency of production assets;
• Optimise maintenance and repair costs in compliance with the internal, external and regulatory requirements established by the company.
• Manage the budget properly and keep expenditure under control.
• Achieve the objectives set by General Management and the Operations Directorate.
• Ensure that the team remains focused on its objectives and continuously strives to keep equipment and facilities in safe, fully operational condition and in accordance with their design specifications.
• Continuously improve processes, organisational efficiency and best practices, and ensure compliance with the defined KPIs.
• Project Phase:
• Design and implement the optimal organisation of the AGL Angola Technical Department in agreement with DG and DEX.
• Actively participate, when required, in recruiting and training the team (drafting job descriptions, recruitment and selection process, training, etc.).
• Coordinate all stages relating to equipment orders and installation.
• Implement preventive maintenance.
• Ensure achievement of the KPIs set by DG and the HQ Technical Department.
• Promote the motivation of personnel under his/her responsibility and participate in their performance appraisal;
Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Management (preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in logistics operations, including at least 5 years in a senior management or Director-level position.
• Strong knowledge of logistics management systems and information technology solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English (preferred). French it's a Plus
