Mission Description                      

International sanctions & Export controls Third-Party Analyst is responsible for monitoring and managing third-party relationships and conducting enhanced due diligence on the integrity of third parties across the entire AGL Group scope, including clients, suppliers, intermediaries, agents and other stakeholders, in order to determine whether AGL can enter into or maintain a business relationship with them.
The position is responsible for assessing the integrity level of entities and individuals with whom the AGL Group has or intends to have business relationships and for preventing relationships with entities or individuals associated with activities such as breaches of integrity, including corruption and money laundering, as well as identifying individuals or entities appearing on international sanctions lists and determining whether any third parties may qualify as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Conduct due diligence on all AGL Group third parties in accordance with internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable national and international laws, regulations and directives when conducting due diligence, and monitor relevant sanctions lists (including European Union, U.S., UK, United Nations and other applicable lists) throughout the process in order to manage third-party compliance across the Group.
• Conduct screening of third parties (clients, suppliers, intermediaries, agents and other partners) at the request of any AGL Group entity, using dedicated screening tools and/or open-source research.
• Continuously assess and monitor third-party risks using the dedicated risk management tool for daily controls, monitor developments relating to previously screened third parties, and prioritize follow-up where required.
• Support the Group Senior Compliance Officer with ad hoc due diligence and screening requests from Regional Compliance Delegates or any other AGL Group entity or Head Office.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures relating to the processing and management of third parties.
• Provide a weekly report to the Head of the Shared Service Centre on the due diligence and screening activities carried out during the week.
• Participate in the review and update of compliance policies and procedures, including the third-party screening policy.
• Conduct extensive open-source research and assess the reliability of information collected in order to support and supplement screening activities.
• Ensure that all available information relating to screened third parties is properly archived, including the results of automated screening conducted through Firco/LexisNexis, on SharePoint (Central Compliance), to facilitate access by relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the Compliance Department's activities relating to international sanctions and export controls.

 

Profile

• University degree in Law, Geopolitics, Compliance, Economic Intelligence, International Relations with a focus on Compliance, or any other relevant field.
• Strong interest in the logistics sector and the African continent.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in the private sector; experience in the transport and logistics sector would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of export controls would be an advantage.
• Curiosity, strong analytical and synthesis skills, attention to detail, rigor, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively.
• Good understanding of compliance principles and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, with fluency in both languages.
• Proficiency in IT tools, including CRM systems, OSINT techniques and Microsoft Office.
