Mission Description
To provide logistical support to the Client to achieve delivery timelines/KPIs, to bring down the costs of logistics through coordination with the origin offices and shipment tracking and by driving the integrity of shipping documents.
The successful candidate applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas: -
1.Tracking of orders upon confirmation of the same by the Plan Team.
2.Coordination with the offices at origin to meet shipping timelines and highlight to the client sensitivities that could impact on these timelines and suggest corrective measures.
3.Coordination with the origin offices to ensure PvoC inspection is done, shipping documents are correctly prepared and dispatched on time and highlight to the Client sensitivities that could negatively impact on the processes involved and suggest corrective measures.
4. Monitor the import clearance process by the distributors and highlight sensitivities that could impact on the delivery timelines, costs and compliance and suggest corrective measures.
5. Monitor container utilization to achieve a KPI of 85% for FCL shipments and highlight sensitivities that could hinder this achievement and suggest corrective measures.
6. Monitor shipment phasing to achieve shipping of orders within the 1st and 2nd week of the month to avoid a rush in the last week of the month.
7.Monitor claims to RB for exceptional costs e.g. demurrage, port storage and customs Warehouse Rent Charges.
8. Arrange for regular performance meetings to drive innovation, improvement in processes, KPIs costs and client engagement.
Profile
Degree or Diploma in supply chain management or any related field.
3 years' experience in customer service in the logistics or related industry
