Due Diligence Coordinator

Mission Description                      

Role Overview
The Due Diligence Coordinator will oversee and execute daily legal screening activities across AGL's digital platforms. The role covers sanctions screening, sponsorship vetting, and general legal support, ensuring that all third-party engagements and business operations comply with international regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations

 

Profile

Key Responsibilities

Due Diligence Screening
• Conduct daily screening of third parties (suppliers, clients, intermediaries, truckers, sponsors) using the required Risk and Compliance Management software, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Systems
• Review and validate integrity forms, supporting documents, and due diligence questionnaires submitted via the required Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Systems
• Monitor and update the status of third parties in the platform, escalating high-risk or non-compliant cases to HQ as required.
• Ensure all third-party onboarding, evaluation, and approval/rejection processes are compliant with group policies and international regulations.

Sponsorship & Philanthropy Screening
• Review and vet sponsorship and philanthropy partners for compliance with group policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure all sponsorship agreements include appropriate compliance and sanctions clauses.

Sanctions & Export Control Screening
• Perform systematic screening against international sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UN, UK, SECO, etc.) for all relevant transactions and third parties.
• Advise on and implement export control procedures, including verification of goods, end-use, and licensing requirements.
• Respond promptly to suspected or confirmed sanctions violations, coordinating investigations and reporting to management and authorities as needed.

General Legal Support
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring inclusion of compliance, anti-corruption, and sanctions clauses.
• Provide legal advice on day-to-day business operations, risk mitigation, and regulatory developments.

Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of all screening, due diligence, and compliance activities in accordance with retention policies.
• Prepare regular reports on compliance status, risk assessments, and legal issues for management.

Training & Awareness
• Deliver or support training sessions for staff on sanctions, export controls, and compliance procedures.
Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organization

Qualifications & Experience
• Law degree and qualification to practice law.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in law, or corporate legal roles, compliance, preferably in an international or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of international computer systems
