Walvis Bay Multipurpose Terminal, a company of AGL, recently signed the contract to manage the Walvis Bay Multipurpose Bulk Terminal in Namibia. Located on the southwest coast of Africa, the Port of Walvis Bay is a natural gateway for international trade. Thanks to its ideal geographical position, this port offers simplified connectivity, connecting Southern Africa, Europe, Asia and America.

As a designated partner to operate this strategic terminal, WMT is committed to promoting the development of the Namibian Corridor. Through its state-of-the-art maritime, port and logistics solutions, the company will facilitate access to Southern African Development Community (SADC) markets and invest in modern infrastructure to drive economic growth in the region. Through its projects and investments, the company also aims to create opportunities for local businesses and communities, promoting employment, innovation and sustainable development.

Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
To ensure the correct cargo information, item count and all other relevant info is accurately counted and recorded onto all receiving and dispatching documents to ensure inventory accuracy, stock control and service levels.

 

Profile

Job Function:
• Record stock (inbound and outbound) movements, quantities, and locations within the warehouse management system.
• Verify information against source documents
• Identify and report discrepancies in stock or documentation.
• Maintain and update daily reports
• Ensure all data is captured within required timeframes
• File and store documents (both electronic and physical) in an organized manner
• Work according to set SOP's and safety standards to maintain and improve customer service levels and productivity

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Computer literacy
• Typically, 1 to 2 years of relevant data capturing experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player
