We are recruiting a Yard Marshal who will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and organized management of all truck movements within the Zalawi Chingola Yard. The role ensures smooth traffic flow at entry and exit points, proper truck parking allocation, adherence to safety standards, coordination with workshop and operations teams, and overall yard discipline. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Job Function: 

Yard Traffic Management
•	Control and coordinate all truck movements entering and exiting the yard.
•	Manage gate operations and ensure accurate recording of arrivals and departures.
•	Direct drivers and vehicles to designated parking zones.
•	Prevent congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow within the yard.
•	Monitor turnaround times and report operational bottlenecks.

Yard Planning and Allocation 
•	Allocate parking bays according to operational requirements, including:
o	Trucks ready for dispatch.
o	Trucks awaiting drivers.
o	Trucks awaiting documentation clearance.
o	Trucks awaiting workshop attention.
o	Trucks undergoing inspections.
o	Trucks awaiting loading or offloading.
•	Maintain an updated yard layout and vehicle tracking register.
•	Ensure optimum utilization of available parking space.

Fleet Coordination
•	Coordinate with dispatch, operations, workshop, and driver management teams for ensure full optimization of company fleet.
•	Verify truck readiness before dispatch.
•	Ensure vehicles have the required documentation before departure.
•	Monitor vehicle availability and report fleet status daily.
•	Support scheduling and deployment activities.

Driver Management 
•	Coordinate driver arrivals and departures.
•	Verify driver assignments and availability.
•	Enforce yard rules and operational procedures.
•	Report driver misconduct, unsafe practices, or non-compliance to company rules, regulations and policy's. 

Workshop &amp; Maintenance Coordination 

•	Liaise with workshop personnel regarding trucks awaiting workshop attention.
•	Monitor trucks awaiting workshop attention and prioritize movement accordingly.
•	Ensure defective vehicles are safely isolated and parked in designated areas.
•	Support preventive maintenance planning.

Compliance and Reporting
•	Maintain daily truck movement records.
•	Prepare daily yard utilization reports.
•	Submit reports on fleet status, workshop queues, dispatch readiness, and safety observations.
•	Support operational audits and compliance inspections.

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements &amp; Core Competencies:
•	Minimum of Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Engineering or its equivalent
•	Minimum 3 years in a similar position, Experience in a fast-paced trucking organization, dispatch, or Fleet Operations, Depot or Yard Managemen

•	Experience in driver supervision, training, or transport operations is an added advantage.
•	Strong knowledge of fleet operations, logistics, or transport industry standards.

-	Agir en financier business partner du métier Transport Routier, identifié comme un axe stratégique de la feuille de route à 5 ans, actuellement en phase de structuration et d'expansion, à la suite de l'arrivée en 2025 d'un responsable opérationnel au siège.
-	Mettre en place et piloter le P&amp;L standard du métier, associer des KPIs, animer avec le management des revues de performance régulières avec les pays.
-	Contribuer aux appels d'offres, à l'analyse des dossiers d'investissements et aux projets d'implémentation ou de renouvellement des flottes, en évaluant la rentabilité et les impacts financiers.
