Job Purpose:

Job Summary

•	Make a minimum of 40 New Quality calls per month – Uploaded in in COMONE System.

Job Function: 

•	Promote and create awareness of BALSA PTY LTD in the market
•	Secure/Sign new business which has never been handled by BALSA before
•	Competencies and Skills to sell across all verticals/industries 
•	Contribute to BALSA PTY LTD revenue targets through selling, participation in planning and strategy development. Drive revenue growth and expand market share
•	Develop presentations and client- specific sales material.
•	Attend to client quotations and follow up agreed rates/services and sales leads.
•	Develop and manage joint sales campaigns with Company global offices and other Partners.
•	Arrange and set monthly joint sales and service calls with local BALSA Management support and as and when required for national and international visitors.
•	Prepare and submit monthly sales report.
•	Share advisory notices with clients as changes occur in the market
•	Hold weekly Branch sales meetings with relevant Managers/BALSA staff to present progress on sales, opportunities, pipeline and strategy to close new business.
•	Support finance where payments are not made on time on specific account
•	Attend and secure leads at conferences, industry conventions etc 
•	Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager

Minimum Requirements: State educational and experience requirements
•	Matric
•	Min 5 years' experience in sales environment in all transport modes (air, sea, road and rail) is essential. Strong knowledge of all verticals
•	Projects knowledge of heavy lift out of gauge shipments advantageous
•	Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills
•	Results Oriented and astute negotiator
•	Must be confident and assertive
•	Computer literacy required, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•	Ability to put together Tenders in response to Client Requirements
•	Must have a sense of urgency and able to handle extreme pressure. Be able to meet strict deadlines.

1. Sales &amp; Business Development

2 Customer &amp; Account Management

•	Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling relevant CFS and related services.

•	Follow up on customer concerns and coordinate resolution with the relevant internal teams.

3. Sales Pipeline &amp; Conversion
•	Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline covering leads, prospects, opportunities, quotations, proposals and conversions.
•	Ensure sales opportunities are actively progressed with clear next actions and expected closure dates.
•	Follow up systematically on quotations, proposals, RFQs and other commercial opportunities.
•	Record customer interactions, sales activities and opportunities in the approved CRM or sales tracking system.

4.Revenue &amp; Cargo Volume Growth
•	Achieve agreed individual sales, revenue and business development targets.

5.Market &amp; Competitor Intelligence
•	Monitor developments within the Mombasa port, CFS, shipping and logistics market.
•	Track competitor activity, service offerings, pricing trends and customer movements.
•	Identify emerging opportunities arising from changes in trade flows, cargo volumes and customer requirements.

6. Sales Reporting &amp; Performance Management
•	Prepare accurate and timely sales activity and performance reports as required.
•	Track customer visits, prospects, leads, RFQs, proposals, conversions and revenue performance.
•	Monitor individual performance against agreed sales and business development targets.
•	Maintain accurate customer databases, sales trackers and CRM records

•	Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
•	Professional qualification in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
•	Minimum 3 years' experience in sales or business development, preferably within CFS, clearing and forwarding, freight forwarding, shipping, transport or a related logistics environment.
•	Proven experience in B2B sales, customer acquisition and account development.
•	Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining customer relationships.
•	Experience working with CFAs, importers/exporters, shipping lines, cargo owners or other logistics stakeholders will be an advantage.

Job Purpose
The Senior Operations Controller oversees operational performance, service delivery and control across assigned activities within AGL Namibia, including Corridor operations, Inbound/Outbound Customs Clearance, and Inbound/Outbound Releasing. The role ensures efficient execution against customer and business requirements, manages key account performance, resolves operational and commercial exceptions, and supports accurate costing, billing and customer satisfaction. The position also provides guidance to operational teams, including Supervisors, and delivers reliable operational reporting to support management decision-making.

Job Functions
1. Operational Control
•	Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with procedures, customer requirements and service levels.
•	Monitor workloads, ageing jobs, bottlenecks, exceptions and service failures, ensuring timely corrective action.
•	Review job status, documentation and transaction completeness to prevent service, billing or customer impacts.
•	Analyse performance trends, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and coordinate resolution of escalated issues.

À ce titre, vous serez chargé de :

- Définir et déployer la stratégie de développement des offres PME, notamment l'offre WeGoAfrica dédiée aux PME ivoiriennes : commission de transport (C&amp;F), groupage import/export, entreposage, chaîne du froid et services associés ;
- Affiner le positionnement des offres PME au sein de l'écosystème digital et logistique d'AGL Côte d'Ivoire ;
- Construire, maintenir et piloter une feuille de route unique des initiatives PME et innovation en Côte d'Ivoire, en coordination avec les équipes commerciales et opérationnelles, les fonctions support et les partenaires locaux ;
- Assurer la priorisation des initiatives et projets en tenant compte des MVP, quick wins, besoins du marché ivoirien et investissements de plus long terme ;
- Organiser et animer les instances de coordination locales : comités de pilotage, points opérationnels et synchronisation avec les sponsors métiers et la Direction Générale ;
- Mettre en place une gouvernance projet claire, intégrant les rituels de pilotage, les indicateurs, les modes de décision et la gestion des arbitrages ;
- Structurer et coordonner les initiatives locales relatives au groupage import/export, à l'entreposage partagé, aux solutions de chaîne du froid, à la digitalisation des parcours clients ainsi qu'à la tarification et aux modèles de services adaptés aux PME ;
- Capitaliser sur les retours clients et les retours d'expérience des équipes locales afin d'améliorer continuellement l'offre ;
- Assurer le rôle de référent local pour les outils et solutions digitales dédiés aux PME et remonter les besoins des clients et des équipes locales afin d'alimenter les feuilles de route pilotées par les équipes centrales ;
- Accompagner le déploiement et l'adoption des solutions digitales auprès des équipes commerciales et opérationnelles, suivre leurs usages et identifier les axes d'amélioration de l'expérience client ;

Job Purpose
Develop, facilitate, assess and continuously improve the competence of AGL drivers and, where required, subcontracted drivers to support safe, legal, reliable and quality-focused transport operations. Deliver theoretical, practical, yard-based and in-cab training and assessment in accordance with applicable South African road transport legislation, prevailing QCTO/TETA requirements and recognised occupational/unit-standard frameworks, AGL Transport Golden Rules, approved procedures, customer requirements and the AGL QHSE Management System. The role provides specialist driver training, coaching, assessment and competency assurance to support safe, compliant and efficient transport operations.

1. Driver Training and Development
•	Plan and deliver induction, initial, refresher, remedial and periodic driver training using classroom, practical, yard-based and in-cab methods.
•	Train drivers in professional and defensive driving, vehicle familiarisation, inspections, reversing/manoeuvring, coupling/uncoupling, safe parking and breakdown procedures.
•	Deliver training on load securing, lashing/unlashing, cargo stability, loading/offloading safety, fatigue and journey management, rollover/collision prevention, hijacking prevention, emergency response, incident reporting and AGL Transport Golden Rules.
•	Deliver or facilitate Dangerous Goods and customer/product-specific training within the trainer's approved competence and registration scope.
•	Provide on-the-job coaching, toolbox talks and targeted awareness sessions for new, inexperienced or under-performing drivers.

2. Driver Competency Assessment 
•	Conduct initial, periodic, post-incident and remedial theoretical and practical competency assessments against applicable occupational/unit standards, AGL requirements and approved assessment criteria.
•	Conduct in-cab/accompanied driving assessments and observations covering vehicle control, road behaviour, hazard perception, defensive driving, route discipline and safe operating practices.
•	Assess competence for relevant vehicle categories and specialised activities within registered scope; record outcomes and recommend drivers as competent, requiring coaching/reassessment, or not yet competent.
•	Reassess drivers following serious incidents, repeated unsafe behaviour, significant telematics events or identified competency gaps.
•	Verify appropriate licence, PrDP, medical fitness and authorisation before practical or in-cab training/assessment and escalate identified gaps.

3. Route Risk and Specialised Transport
•	Participate with QHSE and Transport Operations in route risk assessments, surveys and route familiarisation for new, changed, high-risk or customer-specific routes.
•	Identify relevant road, traffic, security, environmental, weather, rest-stop, parking, loading/offloading, border and emergency-response hazards and translate approved controls into driver briefings and training.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
RULES AND REGULATIONS
•	Conduct training and assessment in accordance with AGL procedures, the QHSE Management System and applicable South African road transport, Dangerous Goods and occupational health and safety requirements.
•	Maintain working knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act and applicable Road Traffic Regulations, prevailing QCTO/TETA requirements and relevant transport standards.
•	Support compliance with RTMS, SQAS and applicable customer requirements relating to driver competence and road safety.
•	Report hazards, unsafe driver behaviour, competency deficiencies, incidents and training-related non-compliance through
Minimum Education, Qualifications and Experience
•	Matric / Grade 12 - required.
•	Valid EC (Code 14) Driver's Licence and valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) appropriate to the transport activities performed - required.
•	Minimum 5 years' practical professional heavy-vehicle driving experience, preferably including articulated/combination vehicles, long-distance transport and general freight.
•	Demonstrable experience in driver training, coaching and practical competency assessment in a heavy-vehicle transport environment.
•	Qualified Assessor in accordance with applicable QCTO/TETA or recognised occupational training requirements - required.
•	Qualified Facilitator or equivalent recognised training 
•	Competent and, where applicable, registered/authorised to assess professional-driving standards relevant to AGL operations, including US 123253 (rigid heavy vehicle), US 123254 (vehicle combination), US 123259 (Convey Dangerous Goods by Road, where applicable), or prevailing replacement/equivalent occupational qualifications or unit standards.
•	Recognised Dangerous Goods transport qualification/training where Dangerous Goods activities form part of the operational scope.

Job Purpose:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Job Purpose:

•	Develop and implement the Group's Telecom &amp; Technology commercial strategy across the assigned African region.

Job Purpose:
The Regional Vertical Manager – Agribusiness is responsible for driving the commercial development and growth of the Agribusiness vertical across the assigned region.
The role is responsible for growing revenue and gross margin, developing strategic customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities and coordinating Agribusiness activities across countries.
As the regional commercial reference for Agribusiness, the role ensures alignment between customer requirements, market opportunities, AGL's operational capabilities and the Group's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: 
Deployment of the Agribusiness Vertical Strategy
•	Implement the Group's Agribusiness strategy across the assigned region, adapting it to local market conditions.
•	Identify and prioritise strategic Agribusiness customers, prospects and market opportunities.
•	Develop and promote AGL's Agribusiness logistics solutions across key commodity and agricultural value chains.
•	Identify opportunities for investments, partnerships and capabilities that support the growth of the vertical.
•	Strengthen AGL's position as a preferred logistics partner within the Agribusiness sector.
Business Development &amp; Portfolio Management
•	Manage strategic regional Agribusiness accounts and prospects, with accountability for revenue and gross margin growth.
•	Lead the commercial sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through RFQs, tenders, negotiations and contract award.
•	Act as the senior commercial sponsor for complex or multi-country opportunities.
•	Support Country Business Development Managers on strategic opportunities and customer engagements.
•	Develop cross-selling and integrated logistics opportunities across AGL's services.
•	Contribute to pricing strategies and ensure consistent commercial positioning across the region.
Market Intelligence &amp; Value Proposition
•	Monitor Agribusiness market trends, commodity flows, supply chains, competitors and customer requirements.
•	Identify emerging opportunities and changes in the agricultural supply chain.
•	Provide market insights to HQ to support the development of AGL's Agribusiness value proposition.
•	Report regularly on pipeline, revenue, gross margin, wins/losses and key market developments.
•	Provide regular market insights to the Head of Vertical Market – Agribusiness to support the refinement of AGL's sector value propositions and solutions.
•	Contribute to the development of regional Agribusiness market intelligence and customer mapping.
•	Report monthly on commercial performance.
Coordination &amp; Functional Leadership of Country Commercial Teams
•	Provide functional leadership and support to Agribusiness Business Development Managers across the region.
•	Conduct pipeline and opportunity reviews and share best practices across countries.
•	Coordinate regional Agribusiness commercial initiatives with Country Directors and Commercial Directors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
•	Support annual budget planning and revenue / gross margin targets for the vertical.
•	Promote a consistent regional approach to Agribusiness customer development.

Strategic Customer &amp; Industry Engagement
•	Build strong relationships with senior Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics and Commercial decision-makers.
•	Engage with major regional and international Agribusiness organisations.
•	Represent AGL at relevant industry conferences, exhibitions and sector events.
•	Develop relationships with industry associations, partners and other strategic stakeholders.
Qualifications &amp; Experience
•	Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Marketing or a related discipline.
•	7–10 years of commercial experience within a logistics provider, freight forwarding company or supply chain organisation, with demonstrated exposure to the Agribusiness sector.
•	Proven experience operating at regional or multi-country level, preferably within African markets.
•	Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic customer accounts and deliver revenue and gross margin growth.
•	Proven experience managing complex sales cycles, including RFQs, tenders, commercial negotiations and contract closing.
•	Strong ability to develop and orchestrate complex multimodal logistics solutions, including ocean FCL/LCL, air freight, bulk logistics, flexitanks, warehousing and related supply chain services.
•	Ability to translate customer requirements into differentiated and commercially viable logistics solutions.
•	Strong understanding of agricultural value chains and African Agribusiness markets.
•	Demonstrated commercial leadership capability, with the ability to influence and mobilise teams without direct hierarchical authority.
•	Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results, customer value and business growth.
•	Ability to navigate and influence within a complex, multi-level organisation involving country, regional and Head Office stakeholders.
•	Strong analytical, negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
•	Experience working within multicultural and international environments.&lt;br /&gt;
