Based in Nairobi and Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, the purpose of this role is to organize and lead execution of a sustainable and profitable development of the Yuesen East Africa (YAEA) business through:-
Sales Performance 
1.1 Sales planning and deployment in the context of (New 
sales, Tenders, upselling of YAEA services, AGL and Yusen Logistics network development, customer account management and pricing / quotations) based on overall business objectives and strategy and performance monitoring. 
1.2 Build a qualified sales pipeline. 
1.3	Develop trade lanes and partnerships to exploit market opportunities. 
2. Develop and apply pricing structures for Clients and tenders and perform negotiations on contracts and conditions with key customers. 
2.1 Optimise account profitability, retention and upselling. 
3. Conduct Client and AGL / Yusen Logistics trade lane development and tenders based on target prospects. 
3.1 Drive end to end pricing and tender management processes. 
4. Analyze and suggest strategies to react to changing business trends. 
Customer Service 
5. Determine the crucial needs of key Clients and communicate these to the operations managers / supervisors to ensure the customer will receive first- class customer care and service. 
6. Lead the freight forwarding and order processing activity based on freight rate purchases and service agreements with shipping lines, airlines and international partner offices. 
7. Conduct half year customer satisfaction surveys and seek necessary improvements for key accounts 
8. Participate in the monthly account reviews. 
8.1 Analyze and profile client accounts based on performance, value and potential and generate periodic reports. 
10. Generate monthly sales operations reports for submission and consultative review with management. 
 11. Keep Management updated on customer needs and relevant market intelligence. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Business Degree or related training, 5 years experience in a Logistics or FMCG industry.&lt;br /&gt;

MISSIONS &amp; RESPONSABILITES 

Stratégie et développement de l'offre PME

• Définir et décliner la stratégie de développement des offres PME : 
o Offre WeGoAfrica dédiée aux PME africaines (C&amp;F, groupage import/export, entreposage, chaîne du froid, …).
o Solutions e commerce et services associés (notamment en Côte d'Ivoire dans un premier temps).
• Affiner le positionnement des offres dans l'écosystème digital et logistique AGL.

Roadmap &amp; coordination transverse

• Construire et maintenir une roadmap unique des initiatives PME / innovation, partagée et adoptée par : 
o les pays pilotes dans un premier temps (Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Sénégal, Afrique du Sud, …), puis l'ensemble du réseau africain.
o les fonctions clés : opérations (transit, entreposage, transport), IT, finance, marketing, sales &amp; sales performance.
o Les partenaires (Safe Trade, Start-up)

• Assurer la priorisation des chantiers (MVP, pays pilotes, quick wins vs. Investissements de long terme).
• Organiser et animer les instances de coordination : comités de pilotage, points opérationnels, synchronisation avec les sponsors pays/métiers.

Gouvernance projet &amp; alignement multi-pays

• Mettre en place une gouvernance projet claire : rituels, indicateurs, modes de décision, gestion des arbitrages.
• Harmoniser les initiatives locales à partir d'un cadre stratégique commun
o Groupage import / export,
o Entreposage partagé
o Besoins de chaîne du froid,
o Digitalisation (WhatsApp, tracking, self-care),
o Tarification et modèles adaptés PME.

• Faciliter le partage de bonnes pratiques et les retours d'expérience entre pays pilotes.

Pilotage des plateformes et produits digitaux

• Coconstruire avec les départements marketing, IT &amp; Innovation, la vision digitale de l'offre (Formulaire, back-office, portail clients Live, modules e commerce…).
• Définir les fonctionnalités clés en lien avec : 
o Les usages PME (WhatsApp, mobile money, adoption digitale progressive),
o Les besoins opérationnels logistiques (tracking, réservation, gestion de flux, self-service).
o Le suivi et la performance commerciale (CRM Comone)

• En lien avec le Marketing, veiller à la cohérence UX/UI, à la scalabilité et à la sécurité des solutions.
• Contribuer aux lancements produits (kits marketing, formation des équipes&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
• Bac +5 (école de commerce, d'ingénieur, université) ou équivalent. 
• 7 à 10 ans d'expérience dans l'un ou plusieurs de ces domaines : 
o Gestion de projets / programmes transverses,
o Développement d'offres ou de produits (digital, services, logistique, e commerce),
o Consulting en stratégie / transformation, idéalement sur des sujets PME ou marchés africains.
o Une expérience dans la logistique, le transport ou les solutions digitales B2B est un vrai plus.

Description:

Oversee and analyse the performance of logistics and supply chain services for global and key accounts across Africa. Ensure delivery meets contractual commitments, compliance with client requirements, and drive continuous quality improvement through centralised reporting and performance management.

Objectives:
- Analyse service performance against targets, identify root causes of failures, and 
 assign responsibility (Internal, Client, or third parties). 
-Develop and share performance dashboards (monthly/quarterly), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients and internal stakeholders. 
- Investigate and challenge reasons for performance failures to ensure 
 transparency and objectivity. 
- Create and implement relevant KPIs tailored to client industries and contractual
