Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field. Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in air freight or logistics, with at least 5 years in a similar role.

MISSIONS


QHSE &amp; ESG Monitoring and Performance Management

Data Management, Analytics and Reporting 

• Manage centralized QHSE and ESG data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting systems. 
• Consolidate and analyse operational, safety, environmental, social, governance, compliance, and sustainability performance data. 
• Produce periodic management, client, and executive reports that support informed decision-making. 
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, traceability, governance, and audit readiness. 

Performance Monitoring and Compliance Assurance 

• Monitor leading and lagging indicators to identify trends, emerging risks, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities. 
• Conduct performance reviews and gap analyses against corporate standards, legal requirements, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.

Job Purpose:

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manage the team (N-1) including Fleet drivers, Workshop and Subcontracted Transport

•Track the fleet (via central GPS system) and ensure optimization of the mobilized means
•Organize and control the documentation transmission: Delivery proof (POD, RCN) to COM units and interchange to container Logistics Manager
•Liaise with QHSE for audit recommended actions implementation
•Analyze and focus on staff costs: casuals, extra- work
•Monitor and challenge workshop costs: Gas, Oil, Tyres etc. 
•Implement any option that would allow decreasing costs (training for drivers, road selection)
•Report any operational issues (including cargo) to COMs/ FOPs in charge
•Request instructions in case of arbitrations to be rendered between cargo deliveries
•Alert N+1 in case of significant operational issue (impact on quality of service , invoicing, sensitive client)
•Inform N+1 and sales department of all quotation non-compliant with COM goals (gross margin, turnover, feasibility.)
•Identify and work on the issues raised during the files processing whatever in the responsibility scope or not.
•Receive work order from internal departments and generate the JMP accordingly 

SUBCONTRACTED TRANSPORT 

•Provide subcontracted transport for both internal and external needs with emphasis on service delivery, profitability and cost control
•Select the authorized subcontractors. The selection of subcontractors with risky profile (limited means or quality of service, weak financial situation, competitor...) 

WORKSHOP

•Manage and distribute the day-to-day workshop administration activities including but not limited to procurement, stock management / control, job planning / preventive maintenance scheduling...
•Coordinate workshop daily meetings in conjunction with the Workshop Administrator.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
•	Minimum – Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or its equivalent

Job Purpose:

The Customs Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant execution of all customs clearance activities related to international shipments. This includes managing a customs team, coordinating with government agencies, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across borders. The role demands strong knowledge of local and international customs regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Job Function: 
•	Lead and manage the customs clearance team, ensuring timely and compliant processing of import and export shipments.
•	Ensure all documentation submitted to customs authorities is accurate, complete, and aligned with current legislation and company policies.
•	Liaise withCustoms, and other regulatory bodies to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and stay aligned with applicable laws and regulations.
•	Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, tariffs, and relevant legislative changes affecting freight movement.
•	Oversee classification of goods (HS codes), valuation, duty and VAT calculations, and permit/license requirements, including ITAC permits and customs codes.
•	Ensure the correct application of Incoterms and manage all bonded and transit documentation, including RIT and Road Bond acquittals.
•	Work collaboratively with internal teams (operations, sales, warehousing) and external stakeholders (clients, agents, border authorities) to optimize clearance processes.

The Training &amp; Technical Support Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting training programs and providing technical assistance to ensure effective implementation of QHSE systems, operational procedures, and digital tools across AGL operations.
This role strengthens competency development, operational compliance, and system adoption, ensuring personnel are equipped with the knowledge and tools required to perform safely, efficiently, and in alignment with AGL standards and international best practices.
This role is key in building a competent, compliant, and high-performing workforce, ensuring that AGL's operational excellence is supported by strong technical capability and continuous learning.
1.2.	Scope
The role is based in Kigali and reports to the Service Line Manager at the AGL Expertise Center in Kigali.
Its scope covers support to AGL entities across technical assistance, training, audits, and implementation of QHSE systems, procedures, and digital tools.

2.1.	Key responsibilities
2.1.1.	Training Design and Development
•	Develop and implement training plans and competency frameworks aligned with QHSE standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), operational procedures, and client requirements.
•	Design and maintain training materials, including presentations, manuals, standard operating procedures, e-learning modules, and training guidelines.
•	Ensure that training content is adapted for multilingual delivery, particularly in English and French.
2.1.2.	.Training Delivery and Facilitation
•	Deliver classroom, on-site, and virtual training sessions across business lines
•	Deliver refresher and specialized technical training tailored to operational needs.
•	Apply adult learning principles and practical, scenario-based approaches
2.1.3.	Technical Support and System Implementation
•	Provide technical support to operational teams on QHSE procedures, compliance requirements, and digital tools, including reporting systems, dashboards, and incident management platforms.

2.3.	Qualifications &amp; Experience 
2.3.1.	Education
•	Bachelor's degree in occupational health &amp; safety, Engineering, Education, or related field
•	A professional training certification would be an advantage.
2.3.2.	Certifications
•	NEBOSH (IGC or Diploma preferred)
•	ISO awareness or Lead Auditor (9001, 14001, 45001)
•	Train-the-Trainer certification (highly desirable)
2.3.3.	Experience
•	Minimum 3–5 years in training, QHSE, or technical support roles
•	Experience in logistics, oil &amp; gas, ports, or infrastructure sectors preferred
•	Demonstrated experience in delivering structured training programmes and supporting system implementation and user adoption.
